Paris to Vienna
Music of Debussy, Schubert, and Kreisler
Performed by David Thies-Thompson, violin and viola, and Parv Eshghi, piano

Travel from the City of Light to the City of Music in the next concert in the MacKay Concert Series. Violinist David Thies-Thompson and pianist Parv Eshghi will take you on a musical journey through time and culture “From Paris to Vienna,” at 7:30 pm on Saturday, April 18, at MacKay United Church.

The program will open with works by two French composers: a sonata by Parisian composer, Jean-Marie Leclair, and a sonata by Claude Debussy composed in 1918. Then our performers take us to Vienna for a performance of Schubert’s “Arpeggione” Sonata written in 1824, and conclude with music by Fritz Kreisler, one of the great violinists of the twentieth century
